If you ask me what most represent Brisbane Fashion Industry in terms of event and runway show. The first thing came to my mind is Designer Q Red Carpet Fashion Show.
Been around for 9 years, Designer Q has showcased a lot of Australian emerging fashion designers and talented models. The glamorous event was held at multiple Brisbane’s hottest venues. When you see a massive red carpet and fashionable crowd at an iconic Brisbane venue in September. You can almost be sure that it is Designer Q.
This year again, Designer Q did not let us down. Under this tough situation, an event like this must follow a lot of restrictions and government policies. Many other fashion shows have decided to cancel this years’ event. Designer Q did not give up. The crew has worked around the clock to make sure there is social distance maintained, guests’ temperatures are checked, and the venue is sanitised.
I could not be happier to receive the invitation again this year, and was very excited to show my support. I haven’t been able to attend last year’s event due to illness, I could not miss it again this year. Because we have been isolating for so long, it was definitely a massive fun and satisfying fashion intake.
I decided to wear my favourite piece in my wardrobe. My shiny leopard wide leg pants by Italian designer Sara Battaglia. As seen on my idol Jennifer Lopez. I styled it with a short one sleeve top, a statement necklace, and a pair of leopard heels.
It was a successful event and amazing afternoon. The boldness, the diversity, the fun and the elegance of those collections and designs truly inspired me a lot. I could totally see myself wearing some of them already.
