“Style is about personality. It is about striking a pose that says something about you and not about the clothes. It is about daring to mix periods, labels and designers when putting together the perfect statement outfit. It is not about buying a complete outfit that someone else chose for you. You can still be inspired by the latest designer collection but that doesn’t mean you have to buy it hook, line and sinker”.
– Frances Corner
Many people told me that I am stylish, but they think it’s because where I live has access to stylish clothing shops. No. Style is not offered in the shop, it is in you. I don’t have access to the world-famous latest fashion products, and I don’t often purchase expensive fashion items, my closet is tinny and it looks just like every other girl’s wardrobe. We all know some people who are wearing luxury fashion labels but looks nothing special than others, sometimes they even look under dressed. So why I look more stylish than those people. First of all, I have my own personality, tastes and style preference. Secondly, I have some common sense about fashion and understand the trend. These two factors allows a crash of both internal and external energy, then create my personal style.
I use to wear this black & white printing blouse the way it is designed, long shirt cover my hips, button down from neck, nothing special. But today, I run out of evening looks, I decide to open up the neck part and pull it down from my shoulders, tie off the bottom of the shirt up on my waist, now this long ordinary blouse is transformed into an off-shoulder top, which is matching perfectly with my high waist black chiffon skirt. Dramatic necklace is needed for an eye-catching evening look.

I agree with you – style is about personality… You don’t have to spend a lot of money on buying expensive clothes to be stylish, you have to know what to choose and what to match together in order to look stylish :)))

Your shirt looks great worn off-the shoulder with that statement necklace! I agree with what you said about style too – it’s not the labels or the price of things that make them stylish, it’s all in how you wear them 🙂
