I heard a lot of feedback from my first Bali Trip blog, looks like you guys have fell in love with Bali now, yes Bali has way more cool and fun things to do, I have only just start it, and I will definitely go back again. Now talking about going back again, I would love to stay the same hotel I stayed this time, I think it is one of the best stay in my life. And if you want to know where to stay in Bali, let me tell you about my experience with this amazing villa – eqUILIBRIA villa at Seminyak, Bali.

I used to think hotel shouldn’t be taking too much of my travel budget as I probably only sleep there at night, this time I took a bet and booked a 5 star villa as I want to make my birthday more memorable with my husband’s company, and my perspective has completely changed, now I believe a great hotel has significant impact on my holiday experience, and to remember always book the hotel I really like.

I really liked eqUILIBRIA villa when I first saw it on the website, there was a moment of doubt around ‘should I save some budget and go for a 4 star’, and I am so glad I didn’t. This villa is just amazing, and it plays a major part of my wonderful holiday experience. If you are not too tight on budget, and want to have an exclusive holiday experience, this villa will definitely brings the best value on every dollar you spent. Now let’s get to the point:

5 things I love about this villa

1. Amazing minimalism design and artistic style

The design of the villa is so simple but stylish, they use elements like wooden sculptures and furnitures, marble stairs and bathtub, cobblestones, bamboos and flax linen. We stayed in the ‘waterfall villa’, where we have two levels in our villa, bedroom and bathroom on the ground level, lounge room and pool on the upper level, the endless pool has a waterfall dropping to the ground level in front of our bedroom, there are 2 stairs at each side of the villa, and an outdoor bathtub. The overall feeling when I arrive this villa is that it is very thoughtfully designed, the clean lines between each door, and each step are so impressive.

2. Friendly staff and customised service

The hotel staff are extramely friendly and warm, they greet every time when they see guests, they always try to help as much as they can, the butlers works extra hard to meet all our needs and expectations. There is complimentary breakfast which can be ordered any time during the day, even in the afternoon, and it’s always ready within 15 to 20 minutes, the butler will bring everything to our room, or anywhere we want to have our breakfast in the hotel (private pool, public pool, lounge room etc.). Every villa has an iPad where all the information needed for stay and holiday in Bali are installed in the iPad (food & drink menu, spa menu, music, Bali tour destinations etc.), the villa also provides nice music speaker, a huge selection of movies, and a special mobile phone for the guest. On my birthday, my hubby secretly arranged a secret surprise with the butlers, when I came back to our villa, I found a fresh fruit bath is ready with towels and massage cream, candles are lighten up everywhere in the villa even in the pool, flowers everywhere, and there was a candle dinner table set up in the lounge room with four-course dinner served every 20 minutes by the butler. The butlers also brought a little birthday cake and singing ‘happy birthday’ to me when they came in. It was the best and sweetest birthday night I ever wanted. The hotel also has a spa centre which is super beautiful, we had a couple relaxation massage, it was wonderful. The villa also provides some essentials you might need such as summer hat, bag, and traditional clothes you need to wear when you visit a temple. I was so impressed by the service of the villa staff, they really make guests feel previliged and special.

3. Absolute Privacy

Privacy is important to me, that’s why I didn’t consider ‘hotels’, villa gives us a lot of room and privacy to enjoy our time and relax without being annoyed. This villa did it 100%, once we back in our villa, we have full privacy, unless we need service from the butlers, no one will disturb us, no noise, no advertisement, it’s just us. We were able to swim with our ‘birthday suit’ (the water is very clean), we were able to play our favourite music all day all night, it was amazing that the villa is located in a busy area, but it can magically block all the noises and leave a beautiful peace with nature.

4. The chef can cook

There is no doubt that your stomach can make better decision sometimes, and if a hotel can provide yummy food, it adds a lot of marks. Yes, never disappointed that the chefs here can cook good food, from western food to asian and vegetarian, the food was so yum that we just eat and relax in the villa, not motivated to go out look for food anymore. The good thing here is that you can order your breakfast any time, have it anywhere, and they also have lunch, dinner and late night snack, so the guests don’t need to worry about being hungry and lazy at the same time. The villa also provide a sunset canapés at the public pool area which complimentary for all the guests. The pool bar is mini, but it has got some really nice wine and cocktails that is worth to try as well. I had the floating breakfast in our villa pool for the first time, it was pretty fun experience.

5. Located at the Heart of Seminyak

Location is one of the most concerned factor when most of people selecting hotels to stay, eqUILIBRIA villa located at the heart of Seminyak, where all the fun is, it is 1 minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and shops, 15 minutes walk to the beach which more fun places is located.
